Located on the banks of the Ping River, 1km from the city center, is one of Chiang Mai’s hidden secrets. This 130 year old, Thai Teak Wood Guesthouse, newly refurbished, is off the usual tourist track, and is ideally positioned as a refuge and a base from which to discover the riches of Northern Thailand.
Built circa 1880, Club One Seven Chiang Mai, with it’s peaked roof and wide veranda porches, are a perfect example of an old-fashioned Thai style teak wood house that sits in a lush tropical garden.
There’s a real cozy ambiance that makes guests content to just spend time relaxing around the place particularly at one of the favored spots – overlooking the serene river. The guesthouse also features a gym and a sauna.
