This long road stretches from the centre of Bangkok in the West to the suburbs in the East. It continues well out of Bangkok, eventually ending up at Trat (400 km in the S.E. corner of Thailand), and is one of the 4 major highways in Thailand. One branch of the Skytrain runs down the length of it (for the section we’re interested in anyway). The area we will be looking at starts at around soi 11 (at the Nana BTS station) and ends at Soi 77 (Onnut on the BTS).
In the middle, at Soi 23 is the famous Soi Cowboy. This is one of the major red light areas in Bangkok, akin to Walking Street in Pattaya, but it is exclusively girly and straight. So although of passing interest, we won’t linger there. It also has the more notorious Nana Plaza at the Western end. Their own website describes it as “Disneyland for adults”. Well, this may be if you’re hetero, but for gay visitors you have to go to Soi Twilight.
Most of the places here are massage parlours. They are notoriously difficult to pin down. But the one “entertainment bar” is worth a look in. If you visit any massage place on the list and find it’s gone or changed name, please let me know. If you find a new one I’ve missed, again I’d love to have details. We can make a great team and keep this website updated.
Well enough prattle. Let’s go and have a massage …
